Description
I painted this botanical painting Bird of Paradise for my beloved sister-in-law, inspired by her love for this beautiful flower. In keeping with the botanical style, the background is a neutral color, allowing the viewer to focus on the elegance of the plant’s form. I used three watercolor techniques: wet-on-wet, glazing, and lifting. Wet-on-wet involves applying paint to a wet surface, allowing the colors to flow and blend, creating soft edges and layers. Glazing adds depth and richness by layering multiple thin washes of color. Lifting, on the other hand, removes pigment to create highlights and gives me control over the flow, preserving the refined botanical look.
I’ve carefully crafted these prints to deliver the highest quality, bringing the beauty of my art into your home. Using Canon LUCIA PRO ink ensures vibrant colors, smooth tones, and sharp details. The prints are made on Fabriano cold press watercolor paper, which has a textured surface closely resembling my original paintings. Please note that slight color variations may occur between the image on your screen and the final product due to differences in device displays. If you have concerns about color accuracy, feel free to contact me.
