Path to the Sea

About this painting. This painting is inspired by a photo I took while vacationing along the Pacific coast. Although it’s unconventional to place the path directly in the center of a composition, I wanted to create the feeling of the path leading straight to the vast, open sea. I used two watercolor techniques in this piece: glazing and a glazed flat wash. Glazing involves layering thin coats of paint to build depth and richness, while a glazed flat wash uses very diluted pigment applied in transparent layers over an existing dry wash.

I’ve carefully crafted these prints to bring the beauty of my artwork into your home with exceptional quality. I use Canon LUCIA PRO ink to ensure vibrant colors, uniform tones, and sharp detail. The prints are made on Fabriano cold press watercolor paper, giving them a texture that closely resembles the original painting.
