Description
Claude Monet is often quoted as saying, “I would like to paint the colors of the rainbow and the beauty of the birds’ songs.” I’m fortunate to have so many songbirds fluttering by my studio windows. I often keep a window open so I can hear them while I paint. After several attempts, this piece finally came together. I used two watercolor techniques: wet-on-wet and glazing. Wet-on-wet involves applying paint to a wet surface, allowing the colors to flow and blend naturally, creating soft edges and delicate layers. Glazing, on the other hand, uses multiple thin layers of paint to build depth and enhance the richness of the plumage. I’m thrilled to use Canon LUCIA PRO ink, which ensures vibrant colors, smooth tones, and sharp details. The prints are made on Fabriano cold press watercolor paper, a textured surface that closely mimics my original paintings. Please note that slight color variations may occur between what you see on your screen and the final product due to device display differences. If you have any concerns about color accuracy, feel free to reach out. To maintain the integrity of my work and guarantee high-quality prints, I do not offer digital files. Also, the picture frames, furniture, and pottery shown in photos are for illustrative purposes only and are not included. Processing time is 1-3 business days.
